Recycling for Art.

When ever I stretch a new canvas I am always left with canvas off cuts. I've had these off cuts hanging over a frame for months.

So I decided to make use of them.

Creating smaller works of art is a great way to work on study's for larger canvas paintings. To experiment and try new ideas and different acrylic paints. Heavy bodied acrylics & liquid acrylics.

I began with this painting below. A small off cut which measures 15.5 x 12.4 inches.

I titled it "Fortune Favours the Brave."

This small painting sold yesterday and will be shipped to Florida, USA.

I am sponsored and in collaboration with Lukas Farban who kindly send me acrylic paints

(link at bottom of page to their website.)

I use their acrylic paints to create my art.

I then finish the canvas with a coat of acrylic clear varnish.

This is my latest creation. Now available to purchase on my website. Click the image to be taken to the product.

These off cuts are a great way of recycling canvas rather than throwing. They make it possible for me to work on new ideas with paint instead of pencil on paper. Also an affordable way to acquire one of my paintings without spending to much money. It's a win win situation.

I look forward to painting many of these. I hope you like them too.
